GST REGISTRATION

• GST is PAN a PAN based registration, every supplier must have the PAN number before applying the GST Number.

• Registration process under GST is online and can be applied by the supplier itself. however services of consultants can also be taken by the supplier.

• Process for GST registration is in Two Parts. Part A and Part B.

• Steps by step process for Part A (for Regular Supplier)

  • every new tax payer shall visit to above link to open the Part A and click New Registration and fill the form

  • Then select Tax payer in I am a drop box

  • Select your State and District

  • Enter your Legal Name of Business [Note it must be matched with PAN Card database]

  • PAN Number [it is mandatory. if does not have PAN, please apply]

  • email address (valid and active email id, OTP will be received for verification)

  • Mobile Number (valid and active mobile number, OTP will be received for verification)

  • please check the details and click proceed.

  • on clicking proceed, Portal will display all the GSTIN (GST registration numbers) and provisional ID generated against the above PAN number for your reconciliation and records. please proceed to generate the OTP.

  • Enter the OTP received on email address and mobile phone on designated box and click proceed.

  • upon verification, TRN (Temporary Reference number) will be generated to complete the Part B.

• Steps by step process for Part B (for Regular Supplier)

  • click on the above link and click on TRN

  • enter the OTP to login

  • on Dashboard click on edit (pencil) button under Action

  • Fill the required details under the Tabs

    • Business Details - Mandatory

    • Promotor / Partners - Mandatory

    • Authorised Signatory -Mandatory

    • Authorised Representative -Optional

    • Principle place of business - Mandatory

    • Additional place of business - Optional, to be filled if you have additional place within the state

    • Goods and services - top goods or services (HSN code)

    • state specific information - other state registration

    • Aadhar Authentication -Aadhar Authentication by any one of Promotor / Partner

    • Verification - Verification of Application

    • after completion of verification submit the application.

    • once you submit the application, you can trace the application using above link and TRN.
